Definitely! In the case of a severe headache or different type of headache than you have ever had, or vision problems or seizures GET TO THE DOCTOR!

A severe headache could indicate stroke or aneurism or tumor. Get it checked out to be safe.

But the most common cause of headaches in the back of your head is muscles.

Hi Jenny,

Thank you for writing! So many people don't realize the connection between posture and pain! Poor posture definitely causes back and neck pain as well as headaches and more. Good posture helps eliminate and prevent those things.

Learning to have better posture is a great way to help people get rid of their back pain naturally. I have lots and lots of articles about the causes and natural relief of back pain at Simple Back Pain Relief.
